With the recent cold fronts we've had, fall fishing has busted wide open, and doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The crappie are biting like crazy on jigs and minnows, with most of our fish coming off brush piles in 8-16ft of water. We're seeing several crappie in the two pound class, which always makes for an exciting trip.
The white bass have been biting well on windblown points and humps, in 8-14ft of water. We've been bouncing slabs and crappie jigs off the bottom, and will continue to do so for the next several months. Our hybrids have been tough as of lately, but should be coming around nicely as the water temperatures continue to drop.
Catfish have been doing well on fresh shad and perch. We have been targeting them in a number of different ways, ranging from jug lines to rod and reel. Our catfish are typically found in the same areas as our white bass, and should do well for the next month or so. If you want to chase trophy sized catfish, let us know ahead of time, and we'll do our best to but you on the fish of a life time.
