Long Cove unveils North Shore addition

Long Cove on Cedar Creek Lake, one of the country’s premiere waterfront communities located just an hour southeast of Dallas, announced in July 2017 that luxury lakefront homesites in its new North Shore neighborhood are now available.

North Shore, conveniently located near the new Henderson Harbor, currently has three lakefront homesites available with five additional lots that will be available in the coming months. The three properties offer 90’ of shoreline, providing owners with sweeping views of the lake. The initial three North Shore lots range from $675,000 - $695,000.

Custom homes at Long Cove feature a range of architectural styles appropriate for the community’s setting and location and are designed to complement the surrounding natural environment. While the various approved home designs offer significantly different choices, they are all visually connected through the use of similar materials and colors.

The North Shore neighborhood is situated near Thistle Never Dhu, a new putting course designed by renowned golf course designer Dave Zinkand, set for completion in spring 2018. Homes located in North Shore are the perfect spot for a vacation or a weekend getaway to enjoy the convenience that comes with being a part of the neighborhood, including the unlimited luxury amenities available to Long Cove homeowners. And, with the North Shore community floating dock just steps away, owners can fish, watch the sunset or take advantage of the boat valet service and have their boat prepared and delivered right to them.

"The new North Shore neighborhood offers the perfect location for families to explore all of the luxury amenities Long Cove has to offer to its residents,” said Long Cove Director of Sales and Marketing Ashleigh Carlton. “The location of this new neighborhood provides convenience and relaxation for owners to be surrounded by the beautiful shoreline and endless activity for the whole family, making it the perfect place to escape.”

Long Cove takes the stress out of planning with access to the finest amenities available to homeowners and their guests, including: a world-class marina and Long Cove’s Lake Club, where owners can lounge by the tiered pool, break a sweat in the workout facilities or enjoy a game of ping pong. In addition to taking advantage of Long Cove’s marina services, families will have the option to join the Boat Club, which provides members the ability to use a number of boats, including Bennington pontoons, Nautique wakeboard boats and Cobalt cruisers, for a leisurely sunset cruise or a day of fast fun on the water.

Owners can also spend a day at the Proving Grounds, a Par-3 golf course and 450-yard driving range that caters to relaxed family play and serious golfers alike. At Long Cove’s lakeside beach, families can take in unparalleled views of the lake, build a sand castle or enjoy a friendly game of beach volleyball.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Nov. 6)

EXCELLENT. normal stain; 71 degrees; 3.17 feet below pool. Good stacks of hybrids and white bass are being found on midlake points and drop offs along sandy flats throughout the dam area, Crappie Island, Key Ranch and the spillway humps in 11-17 feet. Cast spinners and slabs and look for schooling fish on these flats as well as deeper seawalls and shorelines. Fish any hump in 14-22 feet throughout the lake to find fish stacked up in schools as the day warms up. Look for schooling fish on cloudy days. The birds have slowly started showing up as the weather has cooled off and we will be seeing more of these on a regular basis when it is cloudy. Use spinnerbaits or drop a slab down to the bottom and work it fast up and down and the fish will hit it immediately. Also throwing out a slab and reeling it back with a slow retrieve is also working well. Cast rattletraps, spoons, umbrella rigs, slabs or sassy shads to get the hybrids to bite. The crappie bite has been getting better. Target crappie with small jigs and minnows in 5-12 feet under bridge pylons, hidden brush piles throughout the lake or under docks. Crappie fisherman have been moving spot to spot finding limits. You may catch 4-5 and then have to move on to another spot on some days. Limits are being reported, although guides have been reporting conditions are improving with bigger sized fish being caught. Report by Brent Herbeck, Herbeck’s Lonestar Fishing Guide Service. Catfish have started to bite in 3-10 feet of water on cut shad. Larger fish can be caught drifting in 15-24 feet. Report by Jason Barber, Kings Creek Adventures.
